Yarn spinners since the 1920s

In 1920 Asser Laurila, then 21 years old farmhouse boy with an entrepreneurial spirit, who had previously worked as a freight driver in Lapland, founded a sawmill where the Jokipiin Pellava factory is standing today. Jokipiin Pellava creates beautiful and functional linen products. The company aims to have as small as possible ecological footprint and considers all ecological aspects in their daily operations.

Linen is an ideal material for bath and sauna textiles. The material’s absorption capacity dries the skin quickly. The fabric has been manufactured without any chemical treatments and is therefore perfectly suitable even for the most sensitive skin. Linen is a long-lasting material and its natural qualities only get better with use.
